It is official: John 5 confirmed as new Mötley Crüe touring guitarist

Mötley Crüe have launched an announcement relating to Mick Mars’ retirement from the street, and conforming the worst-kept secret in showbiz: he’ll get replaced by Rob Zombie guitarist John 5.

“Whereas change is rarely straightforward, we settle for Mick’s determination to retire from the band because of the challenges along with his well being,” write Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil. “We’ve watched Mick handle his Ankylosing Spondylitis for many years and he has at all times managed it with utmost braveness and style.

“To say ‘sufficient is sufficient’ is the last word act of braveness. Mick’s sound helped outline Mötley Crüe from the minute he plugged in his guitar at our very first rehearsal collectively. The remaining, as they are saying, is historical past. We’ll proceed to honour his musical legacy.

“We’ll perform Mick’s want and proceed to tour the world as deliberate in 2023. Little question will it take a fully excellent musician to fill Mick’s sneakers so we’re grateful that our good pal, John 5 has agreed to come back on board and be a part of us shifting ahead. We’ll see all you Crüeheads out on the street!”
